  1. HSSC

    Promotion from HSSC Part I to Part-II shall be granted as per rules prescribed by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad., after declaration of the result by the Board

  2. B.A/B.Sc

    Promotion from B.A/B.Sc. Part-I to Part-II shall be granted on the basis of the Annual Examination and Periodical Test held by the College during the academic year

  3. M.A

    Promotion from M.A Part-I to Part II shall be granted on satisfactory academic performance in M.A Part-I result as per rules prescribed by the Punjab University. Provisional classes of M.A Part II shall commence immediately after M.A Part-I examination. Promotion will be confirmed only after result is declared by Punjab University and is duly received by the College

  4. Result Cards of periodical tests and annual examination will be sent to the parents/ guardian through the students. In case the parents/guardian don’t receive the result cards, they should contact the College authorities

  5. A student absenting herself in any periodical/ examination shall be considered as fail. Medical certificates in case of send-up/annual examination are discouraged and under no circumstances will be accepted after the examination. However, the cases of dire hardship will be considered and decided by a special board constituted for the purpose

  6. Use of unfair means in the examinations / periodical will be dealt with strictly and penalty shall be imposed in accordance with the rules laid down by the Federal Board / Punjab University


  • As per University rule, Pak. Studies and Isl. Education will be treated as separate subjects and it is compulsory for students to pass in both the subjects separately
  • In case of practical subject it is mandatory to pass in theory as well as in practical separately

On the basis of results students will be divided into the following categories


    The following categories of students will be promoted

    • Passing in all subjects
    • Failing in one subject but obtaining an aggregate of 40% or above

    The following categories of students will be detained

    • Failing in two major subjects (implying subjects of 200 marks each in B.A/B.Sc Part-1 Final Examination) with an aggregate less than 33%
    • Failing in three or ore than three subjects

    The following categories of students will be considered for retest

    • Failing in one subject and having aggregate of less than 40%
    • Failing in two major subjects (implying subjects of 200 marks each in B.A/B.Sc Final Examination) and having an aggregate between 33%-39%
  4. The following guidelines will be observed for the retest.
    • Retest will be held in the 2nd week of August prior to opening of Colleges. Result of the students will be compiled and announced within 7 days of the opening of the College after summer vacation
    • The entire course covered during 3rd year will be included
    • Optional Subject may be given weightage in the aggregate but not treated at par with Elective/ Compulsory subjects
    • No Medical Certificate will be accepted in the retest, hence the student has to repeat or withdraw
    • Absence in any subject will be treated at par with failure
    • Students will be required to appear and pass only in the subject in which they had failed in Promotion Examination
    • Due weightage will be given to the attendance of students in all cases as per criteria of the University of the Punjab i.e. 2/3rd of total lectures delivered in respective subjects. However, in cases where students are passing in all subjects but falling short of attendance on account of genuine, compassionate /legitimate reasons, Principals may use their judicious powers to condone the shortage in attendance
